Connecting your existing job board contracts is fast and easy if you have the right information. The instructions below walk you through connecting an Indeed contract to your MyContracts options.
The MyContracts setup process is similar for most job boards and the required fields will vary depending on the job board you choose to set up. Once you select the desired job board from the drop down, the page will automatically display the relevant instructions and required fields.
Connecting your Indeed contract requires a multi-step process that includes submitting credentials and posting a test job, and sending the feed to Indeed to index. The steps below must be followed exactly in order to properly connect your Indeed contract.
- You must have an active contract to advertise jobs on Indeed.
- Begin typing in the search field for MyContracts within the ATS platform to find the job board you wish to set up.
- In this case, search for “Indeed” and select it from the drop down.
- Once you select the desired job board, the page will automatically render the instructions and fields that are specific to that job board.
- Enter your respective credentials
- First, type your Company Name associated with your Indeed account in the field “sourcename”.
- Copy the provided XML URL, and paste it in the “Confirmed XML Feed URL” field.
- Save this URL somewhere where you will be able to reference it later.
- Mark the box that says you followed these instructions.
- Once you have followed these steps, you will then need to post a couple of jobs to the feed. These need to be real jobs, and will be used by Indeed to validate the format and accuracy of the postings.
- After posting the jobs to the feed, you will need to email the feed URL to your point of contact at Indeed and request indexation of the feed. This is the step in which Indeed will validate and approve the integration, allowing you to continue to use the feed to post jobs in the future (this validation step only needs to happen the first time).
- If you do not have a dedicated point of contact, you can reach out to Indeed Support via the HelpCenter link in the online portal, or by calling 0800.022.4521 and requesting further assistance.
- If you do not hear back from Indeed that they will index the feed, jobs you post to this contract will not be posted on Indeed. This feed is not “activated” until Indeed confirms they will index it.
- There are various optional fields that you can now use for managing your contract in MyContracts.
- Contract Alias allows you to give your contract a name.
- Contract Expiry allows you to set the date that your contract will expire.
- Purchase Price allows you to display the cost of the posting. This is informative for users, this does not result in a fee being charged.
- How Many Credits allows you to set the amount of posting inventory you have with a job board. MyContracts will track and display inventory in real time.
- This is not reconciled with job boards - if you post a job directly to a job board and not through MyContracts, the credit tracker will not track that.
